We are looking for an experienced Pressbrake Operator to join our team repair in Sittingbourne.

The job in a nutshell:

  • Salary: £24,000 – £27,000 per annum

  • Press Brake Operator for Early Shift (Monday to Friday 06:00 – 14:15) or Afternoon Shift (Monday to Thursday 14:15-12:30am ** 4 Day Working Week **)
  • Working with thin gauge materials typically between 0.9mm to 6.0m mild, stainless steel and aluminium, preferably from engineering drawings
  • Competitive hourly pay (including occasional O/T at 1.5x normal pay), and an excellent working environment.


  • The candidate should be motivated and must have experience operating press brakes
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Formal training would be provided for the right candidate
  • High attention to detail and a team player mentality is required

Day-to-day activities:

  • Responsible for operating either of our Bystronic XPERT pressbrakes; one is 100tn, the other 200tn; both have modern graphical PLC programming screens
  • Maintenance of pressbrake equipment
  • Responsible for QC of your own work and raising issues with relevant superior
  • Communicating clearly with foreman / late shift charge hand the status of work
  • Clearly communicating with pressbrake operator from alternate (early or late) shift
